ooooo “I want to write …I want to write”… 😛 😛

As I was proceeding on my way, I was just so unsure about what I was going to put forward this weekend and all of a sudden a local vendor gripped my attention. The things on the wooden board of the cart greeted my nostrils with their citric but exotic smell in such an effectual way, that I had to stop by and have a thorough look. Now, guess the contents of the push-cart ?? hmmm.. here you go.:)

Kamrak, Ber, dried and spiced seeds of musk-melon, Imli, Amla, Khatumrah, unriped mango slices, Koakam,Hari sounff.…((ok good enough to get your mouths watering))!

For my Indian readers who’ve already derived the images in mind, thank you! And for the folks over-seas…these are all out of the ordinary fruits obtained from bushy trees in South-east Asia , to be specific in India.!

This list of sweet-sour products belongs to the fruits least paid attention to forever,as we typically think and talk of fruits, perhaps.Although they’re favorite in use for making chutney, sherbet,mouth-freshener or pickle because of the natural tangy taste, but rarely eaten as they are! Most of you would not have even seen or tasted it all your life. That is how, as I passed close to this collection of lip smacking natural delights, I suddenly became sure about what I had to share this week-end here!:)

To be more purposeful, since this is winter season and our metabolism demands constantly something to churn down, I suggest you all have a pick with these fruits, this time. This stuff holds all merits to satisfy our tongue, stomach and body as a whole, compared to potato chips, ready-to-eat noodles and packed fried food items. I feel its a tasty option to some of the things we guilt-freely keep stacking in our tummy and end up thinking later..Oops, how have I put on this much!  Albeit handful of dry-fruits in the pocket remain equally a good choice since ages to fight “i want to eat..i want to eat..i want to eat” feeling during winters!

here it is…you may want to add a pinch of salt, cumin seed powder and chilly powder..(do read the caption, its got english and scientific names,so you can easily track them at your respective places)! relish….
